Questions
What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?
GEO is the practice of getting your brand recommended and cited in answers from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Success is a mention or citation inside the answer rather than a ranking position.
How is GEO different from SEO?
They share foundations: crawlable pages, clear content, authority. GEO adds what assistants need: answers that can be quoted on their own, consistent facts about your brand across the web, and presence on the third-party pages assistants cite.
How do AI assistants decide what to recommend?
For product questions they usually search the web, read a handful of pages and summarize them. Brands that appear in those pages, especially in lists, reviews and the brand's own clear answer pages, get recommended. Without search, answers come from training data.
Why do AI answers change from one run to the next?
Models generate text with some randomness, and search results shift. That is why Promptvane asks each prompt several times and reports rates instead of single answers.
Which engines does Promptvane track?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Each plan lists which engines it includes.
Can you guarantee my brand will be recommended?
No one can honestly guarantee that. We show where you stand, what is in the way, and what to publish, then measure whether it worked.
Do you make content that spams AI models?
No. Drafts are built from facts you confirm and are meant to be published on your own site as useful pages. We do not mass-produce fake reviews or listicles.
Is there a free plan?
Yes: 5 prompts tracked weekly on ChatGPT, plus the free AI readiness audit. No card required.
